WALT... use commas and semicolons

I woke up with a fright, the chills told me something was wrong.

my door was wide open, the draft hit me and I realised my duvet and sheets were gone. I could hear floor boards creaking, but nobody else lived with me so how? I snatched my torch off my bed side table, i always kept it there. Getting up, i walked slowly towards my door, but just as i got close it slammed shut and i could hear it lock. In front of my window stood a hooded figure, i pretended not to see it, climbed back into bed and texted my mother.
